Staging the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh marks a return to Saudi Arabia, which held the first edition across the cities of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah and Taif in 2005.

HH Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for the Islamic Solidarity Games - Riyadh 2025, chaired today, Sunday 24 August, the second meeting of the Coordination Committee for the Games, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from 7-21 November 2025. The meeting was held at the Grand Hall of the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by Prince Abdullah bin Fahad, member of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and H.E. Mr. Abdulilah bin Saad Al-Dlak, Assistant Minister of Sports, as the Ministry's representative. Discussions focused on following up on preparations and readiness for hosting the highly anticipated event. Members of both the Coordination Committee and the Supreme Organising Committee were briefed on the latest updates regarding the Games, with the Organising Committee reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to delivering an exceptional edition and a fully integrated experience for all participating delegations.
The meeting agenda included reviewing the main pillars of event organisation, updates on the readiness of stadiums and arenas that will host competitions across 23 sports, as well as plans for organising and receiving delegations, details of live broadcast coverage, and service standards for athletes and media representatives arriving in Riyadh.
The Supreme Organising Committee for the Games is chaired by HH Prince Fahad bin Jalawi and includes H.E. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al Qadi (Vice Minister of Sports), Ms. Adwaa bint Abdulrahman Al-Arifi, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen, Mr. Thamer bin Aslam Ba Sunbil, and Mr. Salman bin Fahd bin Jali.
The Coordination Committee is chaired by Ms. Konul Nurullayeva (Azerbaijan) with members Major General Idriss Dokony (Chad), Mr. Saeed Abdulghaffar (UAE), Mr. Fares Al Kooheji (Bahrain), and Mr. Oybek Kasimov (Uzbekistan)
